Susannah and Miles became quick friends after a trip to the Kentucky Derby with Bryan's work crew in May 2015! In a short eight months, I would say we have seen a roller coaster of life together. They stood by our sides, checking in often, after we lost Beau. We have shared our families together. And, we have witnessed their marriage in October.
So, it was a great honor, to say the least, for our team to be such an important part of their wedding festivities. Miles' mom, Sharon, enlisted our help for their rehearsal dinner at the new (and, might I saw amazing) Nelson's Green Brier Distillery. The rehearsal is generally the groom's event, so we ensured it fit Miles to a T! From a masculine color palette to feathers at each place setting to the deer mount at the bar - the setup was certainly comfortable for Miles. And, the night was certainly magical. At all events, I have favorite moments, and this event was no different.
Miles gave the final speech of the evening. He walked so confidently to the center of the room with his stack of notes. It was a moment that stopped the room and time stood still. His words for Susannah were breathtaking, and I know there was not a dry eye in the room. In that moment, I was certain these two were meant to be together for life. And, there is no greater feeling to celebrate such certainty. Congratulations to our dear friends! We can't wait to watch you grow together in the many years to come. Thank you for being so incredibly gracious to us.
